In July 2000, with the completion and formal opening of Qingdao International Convention Center, the 1st CIBF (Shandong) was held ceremoniously on September 12, 2001. The fair received great support from the building material merchants who actively participated in the fair, and acquired consummation. Then, another great stage for domestic and international building material merchants to enter Shandong market appeared.

2. Brand Strategy
The brand is not only the soul of development of an enterprise, but also the key of sustainable development of Chinese convention industry in the 21st century. We are continuously seeking how to improve quality of attending enterprises, how to make clients go back with fruitful results, and how to develop and intensify the fair.

3. Marketization
Under the background that China has joined WTO, the convention industry must start from the way of marketization. "The enterprise making a stage for the government" should not be the long-term strategy of convention industry, and "creating orders for attending merchants" and "becoming the link between enterprises" are the persistent tenet of CIBF (Shandong).
